The Washington Workshops would like to bring your attention to a new and important scholarship opportunity honoring the memory of one of our former students, Mr. Cain Franklin.

Available to students from public and private high schools across the United States, these full tuition awards are for attendance at a summer 2016 session of the Washington Workshops Congressional Seminars, held in Washington, DC for high school students from across the nation.

An essay will be required in application for this seminar scholarship. The topic being:

“There is a growing and frightening increase in hard drug heroin addiction in this country, particularly among young people. What can we, as young Americans, do or recommend be done to decidedly curtail this epidemic in our schools and communities?”

Essays should be submitted to Washington Workshops by April 1, 2016.
