The Democracy In Action Seminar

This unique program is generously sponsored by the Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation and presented in partnership with the Washington Workshops Foundation.  Since the programs inception in 1998, this unique and empowering experience has been offered to and benefited over 1500 students from across the United States.

The Goal of The Democracy In Action Seminar is to create a greater understanding on the inner workings of the US Federal Government, the role and interplay between our three branches of government and a special focus on the legislative process through a hands on simulation of the daily work of the US Congress.  In addition the program aims to increase political awareness, civic involvement and compassionate and informed future leaders motivated to make a positive difference in their communities.
